Seminarians continue journey to priesthood: one admitted to Candidacy and four installed to Ministries

On October 25, seminarian Ryan Mahar (Theology III) of the Diocese of Sacramento participated in the annual Mass for Candidacy at Mount Angel Seminary in St. Benedict, Oregon. When a seminarian is admitted to candidacy, he makes a commitment to complete his seminary formation and pursue the priesthood.

Additionally, on November 7, four of our seminarians were installed to Ministries at St. Patrick’s Seminary in Menlo Park.

Theology I seminarians Ivan Franco-Martin and Victor Goranov were both installed to the Ministry of Acolyte, responsible for assisting priests and deacons at the altar.

Theology II seminarians Eric Patrick and Erik Pereira were both installed to the Ministry of Lector, and are entrusted with reading from the Scriptures during liturgies.
