Resources to Celebrate Rogation Days & Laudato Si' Week!

“Everything is related, and we human beings are united as brothers and sisters on a wonderful pilgrimage, woven together by the love God has for each of his creatures and which also unites us in fond affection with brother sun, sister moon, brother river and mother earth” (Laudato Si’, n. 92).  We pray that “we can see God reflected in all that exists, our hearts are moved to praise the Lord for all his creatures and to worship him in union with him” (LS, no. 87).

Rogation Days are from May 26th to 28th, and it is a time set aside by the Church for prayer and penance as we humbly implore the mercy of God.  These days serve as a reminder of our connection to creation, our dependence on God and the beauty and power of the natural world.  In this season of hope, we turn with humility and confidence to the Giver of all good things.

Laudato Si' Week (May 24 -31) celebrates this year's theme of "Raising Hope" and commemorates the 10th anniversary of Pope Francis encyclical Laudato  Si'.  This year, we raise hope by sharing the light we find in caring for our common home.
