Let us join Bishop Jaime Soto in praying for the eternal rest of his dear mother, Mrs. Gloria Yolanda Soto. She died unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at the age of 91.
“My sister, 5 brothers, her twelve grandchildren and I were fortunate to receive her tender maternal care,” Bishop Soto wrote in a message to clergy and the Pastoral Center of the Diocese of Sacramento. “Hers was a generous table that nourished our souls.”
Bishop Soto will preside at the Funeral Mass on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at 10:00am at St. Polycarp Church in Stanton, CA.
Bishop Soto concluded his message to clergy and staff writing, “May the Heavenly Father extend to my mother his tender mercies. May she, my father Oscar, and all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God rest in peace.”
