National NFP Awareness Week celebrated July 22-28

National Natural Family Planning (NFP) Awareness Week 2018 will be celebrated in dioceses across the United States July 22-28. This year's theme is "Generations of Love", celebrating God's gift of married love and the 50th anniversary of Pope Paul VI's July 1968 encyclical letter, Humanae Vitae (Of Human Life).

The encyclical articulates Catholic beliefs about human sexuality, conjugal love and responsible parenthood. The dates also mark the feast of Saints Joachim and Anne (July 26), the parents of the Blessed Mother.
