In the fullness of time, Mary gave birth to the Lord Jesus. Heaven’s joy came to rest in the tender arms of Mary. The eternal glory of God made his dwelling among us. Shepherds tending their flocks in the surrounding hills were summoned by the angelic choirs to behold the beauty of the Father’s only Son, full of grace and truth.
May the echo of those same celestial voices summon all of us to kneel before the glorious image of divine mercy. More than just listening to the Christmas story, choose to take part. Draw near to the company of Mary and Joseph. Squeeze in among the shepherds. Journey with the Magi drawn by heavenly light. Jesus came so that we might see him, hold him, and receive from him the mercy and joy of heaven.

Mis queridos Hermanos en Cristo: Cuando los pastorcillos acogían las noticias sorprendentemente proclamadas por los coros angélicos aquella noche, se les alentaron unos a otros diciendo, “Vayamos hasta Belén, para ver eso que el Señor nos ha anunciado”.
El eco animoso de sus voces todavía resuenen en nuestros oídos porque aquella invitación es también para nosotros: “Vayamos hasta Belén, para ver eso que el Señor nos ha anunciado”. La llamada de los pastorcillos no requiere un viaje largo porque el Belén de hoy está aquí entre nosotros. Dejemos que el canto del cielo despierte los ojos de nuestra fe para contemplar la presencia divina de Jesús envuelto en la compañía de nuestras familias y seres queridos. Contemplemos, reverenciemos, y abracemos a Jesús quien quiso ser parte de nuestra familia.
Reciban los saludos afectuosos y las oraciones de este servidor por todos ustedes y sus familias. Les pido sus oraciones por mí. Que demos posadas alegremente a Jesús cantando: “Entre, Santo Peregrino. Reciba este rincón. Aunque pobre la morada, te la damos de corazón.” Feliz Navidad.
