Five-part series of liturgy specialization workshops begins on Saturday, Aug. 26

The diocese’s Office of Worship, in conjunction with the Department of Evangelization and Catechesis, is offering a series of five workshops leading to a liturgy specialization certificate. The series begins on Saturday, Aug. 26.

The five-part series is for those who do sacramental preparation, liturgical ministers and coordinators, musicians, members of liturgy committees and anyone who wants to learn more about liturgy, worship and prayer. Anyone discerning involvement in a liturgical ministry will also find these workshops helpful. Starting with sacred Scripture and basic liturgical documents, this series will give participants a comprehensive introduction to liturgical principles and practices through selected readings, lecture and discussion.

Each workshop will take place on a Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Saints Peter and Paul Parish, located at 4450 Granite Dr. in Rocklin.
