Pope Francis celebrates the fiftieth anniversary of his ordination to the priesthood on Friday, December 13, 2019. In honor of the occasion, Bishop Jaime Soto has shared the following message:
"We celebrate with prayers and thanksgiving the Fiftieth Anniversary of the Holy Father’s Ordination to the Priesthood. May the Good Shepherd, the Lord Jesus, continue to bless Pope Francis with wisdom, evangelical joy, and good health."
Prayer for Pope Francis
Father of mercy,
we come before you with gratitude
for the fifty years of priesthood of Pope Francis,
whom you have made Peter’s successor.
Support him with the Spirit’s gifts,
so that he can continue to preach the Gospel with priestly zeal
and lead the Church with wisdom and strength and courage.
May his example of long and faithful service
be an inspiration to your priests and to all your faithful.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.

El Papa Francisco celebra el quincuagécimo aniversario de ordenación sacerdotal el viernes 13 de diciembre de 2019. En honor a la ocasión, el obispo Jaime Soto nos comparte el siguiente mensaje:

Dios de misericordia,
llegamos ante ti con gratitud
por los cincuenta años de sacerdocio del Papa Francisco,
ya que lo has constituido sucesor de Pedro.
Confórtalo con los dones del Espíritu,
para que pueda continuar predicando el Evangelio con celo sacerdotal,
y guiar a la Iglesia con sabiduría, fuerza y valor.
Que su ejemplo de servicio fiel y continuado
sirva como inspiración para tus sacerdotes y todos tus fieles.
