Bishop Cotta celebrates consecrated life with jubiliarians in diocese

World Day for Consecrated Life was celebrated in parishes throughout the Diocese of Sacramento on the weekend of Feb. 3-4, with the faithful praying for all those who have made commitments in the consecrated life and to thank them for their ministry.

In a celebration held at Presentation Parish in Sacramento on Feb. 2, Auxiliary Bishop Myron J. Cotta congratulated those in consecrated life who are celebrating jubilees this year of their vows of chastity, poverty and obedience (see photo above, courtesy of Ruby Winsor).

The jubiliarians honored at the celebration were Sister Arlene Connelly, IBVM (65 years); Father Thomas Davis, OCSO (60 years); Father Lawrence Glaser (60 years); Sister Gloria Heese, RSM (60 years); Father Paul Jerome Konkler (50 years); Sister Marilee Howard, RSM (50 years); Sister Susan McCarthy (50 years) and Sister Anita Minihane, RSM (50 years).
