Masses on Memorial Day at Catholic cemeteries to remember fallen heroes of the armed forces

The Diocese of Sacramento will honor men and women of the armed forces with Masses at Catholic cemeteries on Memorial Day, Monday, May 28.

The public is invited to join Bishop Jaime Soto as he celebrates a Mass of remembrance for the dearly departed and to remember our fallen heroes. He will preside at Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Cemetery & Funeral Center chapel, located at 6509 Fruitridge Ave. in Sacramento. Bishop Emeritus William K. Weigand will celebrate a Mass of remembrance for the dearly departed and to remember our fallen heroes at 10 a.m. at Calvary Cemetery & Funeral Center Chapel, located at 7101 Verner Ave. in Citrus Heights. Following Mass will be a patriotic presentation at the veterans' section. For information call (916) 726-1232.

A Mass of remembrance for the dearly departed and to remember our fallen heroes will also be celebrated at 10 a.m. at All Souls Cemetery & Funeral Center Chapel, located at 550 Glen Cove Road in Vallejo.
